• What is your character’s name? Does the character have a nickname?

• What is your character’s hair color? Eye color?
blond/blue
• What kind of distinguishing facial features does your character have?
strong jawline, appropriate nose
• Does your character have a birthmark? Where is it? What about scars? How did he get them?
he has many scars from his "vampire days" as teenager; 'spqr' on his arm, which he tries to cover, and a crappy ankh on his ankle.
• Who are your character’s friends and family? Who does she surround herself with? Who are the people your character is closest to? Who does he wish he were closest to?
william is an only child. his father left before he was born. his mother was an alcoholic. he used to surround himself with popular individuals in the new york goth and avant garde scenes, but never managed to get close to anyone. he'd like to be closest to monsalvat, and isn't sure if he'd like to be closer to annis.
• Where was your character born? Where has she lived since then? Where does she call home?
he was born in ft. lauderdale, but has lived all over the east coast. he came to the gauntlets from new york.
• Where does your character go when he’s angry?
he goes to his room and sulks alone with a bottle of wine.
• What is her biggest fear? Who has she told this to? Who would she never tell this to? Why?
william's biggest fear is being rejected. he is constantly looking for affirmation that he's bright, attractive, etc. he fears that he may not be as smart as he claims he is.
• Does she have a secret?
he lied to be accepted into the gauntlets, and thinks that the others are falling for this lie.
• What makes your character laugh out loud?
a pretentious joke
• When has your character been in love? Had a broken heart?
william has never been in love...just in lust, over and over.
• What is in your character’s refrigerator right now? On her bedroom floor? On her nightstand? In her garbage can?
beer, some kind of pretentious exotic food leftover from a night on the town...used condoms, cigarette butts, several different shoes.
• Look at your character’s feet. Describe what you see there.

• When your character thinks of her childhood kitchen, what smell does she associate with it? Sauerkraut? Oatmeal cookies? Paint? Why is that smell so resonant for her?
rotting garbage. william's mother was usually too drunk or lazy to take out the garbage or do dishes, so it usually ended up sitting there.
• Your character is doing intense spring cleaning. What is easy for her to throw out? What is difficult for her to part with? Why?
easy: phone numbers, old makeup, clothing no longer up to his standards, promo cds, letters from ex girlfriends.
hard: certain numbers from certain girls, his very favourite cds, his books, photos of various friends
• It’s Saturday at noon. What is your character doing?
sleeping off his hangover from last night.
• What is one strong memory that has stuck with your character from childhood? Why is it so powerful and lasting?
no idea.
• Your character is getting ready for a night out. Where is she going? What does she wear? Who will she be with?
he'd be going to a pretentious bar for people who are goth but refuse to refer to themselves as goth. he'd be wearing some sort of elaborate old timey costume and going with any one of a million girls he "dates". |
